The "hammer quartet": Four new SDS-max combination and chiselling hammers with Metabo VibraTech (MVT) vibration dampening system.Less effort, more powerNew generation of large hammers / New Metabo models in the 5 to 10 kg class / User safety and comfort in mind: Vibration damping on the main handle plus the Metabo VibraTech (MVT) system on the side handle / Long, slim design helps ensure correct working posture / Long service life ensured: Die-cast aluminium or magnesium gear housing / Two combinations - two specialist tools / "KHE 96" and "MHE 96": One of the best in class, each with 27 joules of single-blow energy Nürtingen, Germany. Metabo are proud to announce a new generation of large SDS Max hammers: With the new combination hammers "KHE 56" and "KHE 96" for drilling and chiselling, plus the lighter weight "MHE 56" and "MHE 96" for just chiselling. The design and development departments at Metabo have provided a high-quality and specialised range in the 5 to 10 kg class for professional users. Class leading performance stats combined with Metabo’s notorious long cycle life formed part of the primary objectives during development. In addition, user cofomfort and safety features were also incorporated into the design brief. The new hammer generation from Metabo offers additional multi-stage vibration damping on the main handle, which reduces the effect of vibrations that occur during everyday heavy use. The system counteracts impacts and sudden jolts via dampers, which greatly reduces the transfer of potentially hazardous vibrations to the operator. The second user-friendly technology method is the Metabo VibraTech (MVT) side handle. According to the manufacturer, it is then possible to "protect the user whilst offering significantly increased user comfort". The long, slim design of the "KHE 96" and "MHE 96" also presents positive effects on user health and comfort. The new machines enable an upright working position, which relieves the back noticeably when working at ground level. The third attachment point for the Metabo VibraTech (MTV) additional handle near to the main handle also relieves stress on the operator. Long service life and comfortable operation The new foursome are driven by powerful motors with 1,300 watts ("KHE 56" and "MHE 56"), 1,700 watts ("KHE 96") or 1,600 watts ("MHE 96") of rated input. Electronic speed and impact rate regulation and auto-stop carbon brushes come as standard, allowing consistent operation according to the material, slide coupling and a lock switch for continuous chiselling work. The auto-stop brushes prevent damage to the motor by switching it off before the brushes are worn away completely. The robust die-cast magnesium or aluminium gear housing dissipates the heat arising from operation, and is thus an important aspect in ensuring the long service life expected by customers. The rubber-coated handles, six metre cold-resistant rubber-coated cable and the protected power and service displays play a considerable part in comfortable operation. In addition, the carbon brush wear display signals the need to replace worn brushes up to 30 hours in advance. Flexible and nimble As detailed in the launch documentation, the "KHE 56" combination hammer is suitable for use in concrete at drill diameters of up to 45 mm (hammer drill function) and 100 mm (with drill bits). It can also be used easily for repairing surfaces and cutting into masonry and concrete. Even normal chiselling work is no problem. The maximum torque of the hammer is 90 Nm, with a maximum impact rate of 2,840 rpm. The "KHE 96" is used for more intense penetration and finishing work. According to Metabo, the "KHE 96" is currently one of the most powerful machines in its class, with 27 joules of single-blow energy and a maximum impact rate of 1,950 rpm. Even heavy-duty chiselling work can be carried out with ease. Powerful specialist tools The "MHE 56" is intended for use in normal penetration work and channel cutting thanks to its manageable format and powerful output. With a maximum impact rate of 2,840 rpm, these specialist tools can even remove plaster and tiles easily from difficult to access places. The "MHE 96" is particularly suited to heavy-duty work on large areas. According to the manufacturer, the results are often clearly superior to those of the competitors. This is made possible by the 27 joules of single-blow energy. The new hammers are delivered in a plastic carry case. The standard equipment (depending on model and version) also comprises an additional handle, front handle, drilling depth guide, lubricant and cleaning cloth. In addition, various chisels and drill bits can be ordered individually or as a set. Downloads:
